MindShift was founded in 1999 with a focus on offering services to HR organisations related to building human capital and improving the way organisations handle the inflow of competencies, covering such areas as employer branding, recruitment process, and employee introduction.

As the focus in the labour market changed from merely attracting new resources to maintaining and developing the resources and competencies already available in house, MindShift expanded  its offerings to support clients in successful retention, performance management, and management planning.

In early 2000 it also became evident that many HR organisations needed to transform themselves from traditional human resource organisations focusing on administration to strategic partners to the managers and management team. MindShift developed a number of practises to support clients in this transformation, including HR strategy, HR organisation, HR service delivery, and HR performance.
